Coming soon....

When multiple payments are made in QuickBooks Online for a fixed asset, such as a deposit and further stage payments, these will appear as separate asset entries in nettTracker. There will soon be an option to merge these separate entries so they will appear as one single asset.

Alternatively, a single asset was purchased which needs to be broken down and sold off in separate amounts. The function to breakdown a single asset into a ‘kit’, should also be available very soon.

These new features are all down to user feedback. We try and meet the needs of our users as much as we possibly can. We are always open to ideas on how our software can be improved. Any suggestions can be e-mailed to help@farscape-applications.com.

Webinar - Wednesday 4 March 09:15 - QuickBooks Connect Special - nettTracker: Fixed Assets Made Easy...Very Easy!

QuickBooks Connect has been cancelled this year, and like many we’re absolutley gutted. We were getting excited to meet lots of forward thinking accountants and business owners that would like to get their fixed assets fully automated. Although we can’t meet everybody in person that we would have liked to, we still like to demo our software as much as we can.

Join us for the 20 minute overview of nettTracker. If you can’t attend live, or even if you are readig this after the event, you can still sign up to watch the recording.

Webinar: Friday 7 Feburary 4:30pm (GMT) - An introduction to nettTracker

It's all about saving time. During this short webinar we’ll explain in brief how nettTracker works (15 minutes). Any time remaining we’ll happily answer any questions you may have about the functionality of nettTracker, and how it integrates with QuickBooks Online. If you can’t attend live, you will be able to view the recording if you register to attend before or after the event.

Merry Christmas from the nettTracker Team!

We received a list, we’ve checked it twice (in fact more than twice) and soon to be released will be the improved set-up wizard, and the ability to map accounts for year-end journals. Things that make nettTracker easier to use and will save accountants even more time.

We understand you will need to spend 15-20 minutes setting up nettTracker for a client file (the more you do the quicker this becomes). When nettTracker is in it’s second year of use, how much time do you need to spend on fixed assets - virtually nil!

Time spent adding assets to the fixed asset register - nil

Time spent calculating depreciation - nil

Time spent creating a depreciaton journal every month throughout the year - nil

Time spent reviewing the assets on the asset register - 2 minutes

Time spent closing the year and creating all journals dated the 1st day of financial year for the revised brought forward balances - nil

Other features are being worked on. Splitting assets and grouping assets with a parent/child relationship, the ability to revalue assets and consolidated journal entries (instead of detailed journals that relate to every asset). These features should be released late January / early February. We’d love to get the features to you sooner, but we don’t have enough elves!

In the meantime we’d like to wish all of our nettTracker customers and their families and friend a very Merry Christmas and very best wishes for 2020!

What's happening? - nettTracker updates 26 November 2019

You may be thinking things have gone quiet at nettTracker HQ - Wrong! We’ve been gathering some fantastic feedback from some of our early adopters, and we are working on the following:

  • Easier set-up wizard

  • Ability to “split” assets

  • Ability to revalue assets

  • Create “parent and child” assets

  • Send a smaller journal to QuickBooks each month (totals from asset groups)

  • Auto-create all the year-end journals that will move additions etc to brought forward balances

We love all of the feedback, and we are using it to improve what we have. We are making nettTracker even easier to use, with all features that a robust fixed asset manager needs. Meaning accountants and bookkeepers will be able to work more efficiently, and remove the need to create another spreadhseet each year.
